The 12G, 48-way microMUSA by COAX Connectors is the world’s first 2×48 1RU 12G 4K video patchbay system. This newly designed 12G 48-way patchbay system includes panels, U-links and patchcords. The system delivers 4K single link performance exceeding SMPTE ST2082-1, and is suitable for all the following video standards; composite and component video, 270 Mb/s SDI, uncompressed 1080i or 1080p HD-SDI, HDR and 4K UHD (2160P60) video up to 12GHz.

The rear of the 48-way panel is populated with 96 high-density True 75Ω 12G Micro BNC (HD-BNC) connectors, delivering full 12G performance whist saving space and reducing weight. This high density patchbay format is of real benefit in OB trucks and other places where space and weight are at a premium.

Patchcords for the 12G, 48-way microMUSA use the latest flexible 12G rated cable. Correct mating is easily achieved thanks to a detent feature in the connectors which provides tactile feedback to ensure 100% mating. U-link bodies are made of cast metal and include finger grips for ease of insertion or extraction. The precision machined and formed u-link centre contact provides a seamless repeatable signal path. No straight or right angled solder joints in sight!
