COAX designs new high performance neoprene strain relief boot for RG174, RG179, RG316 and similar cables

SMA right angle cable assembly with black neoprene boot
COAX Connectors has designed a new high performance moulded neoprene strain relief boot to support and protect the cable entry on a range of sub-miniature connectors.

This new boot is suitable for RG174, RG179, RG316 and other cables with a jacket diameter of 2.5mm-3.2mm, that use a crimp size of 3.25mm Hex.

Boots provide strain relief, preventing damage to the internal wires and extending the lifespan of a cable assembly. In applications where there is movement or vibration boots can help with absorption of those forces, and they provide additional protection against bending. They offer environmental protection, acting as a barrier against dust, moisture, and chemicals, and reducing abrasion, and corrosion.

The data sheet for this new boot (part number 97-802-BK-03) is available on the product page and this part is now available to order.
